Description & Context
The IMAGE Policy 2016 declared Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming & Comics (AVGC) companies as essential services and tasked TSIIC with developing IMAGE City-a 1.6 million sq ft dedicated AVGC hub in Raidurg, RR District. Incentive administration is managed by the Consultative Committee on Animation & Gaming Industry (CCAGI), a joint government-industry body, with self-certification available under 6 labour acts. The IMAGE Centre of Excellence, launched at STPI-Hyderabad in February 2020, provides skilling, incubation, and R&D support. TASK has significantly grown the AVGC talent pipeline, with the sector largely achieving its 30,000 professional target. IMAGE Tower construction is ongoing.
