Description & Context
T-Hub Phase 1 was conceptualized in late 2014 as a Public-Private Partnership implementing the Triple Helix model of innovation—integrating government policy, academic research (IIIT-H, ISB, NALSAR), and private-sector mentorship. Launched in November 2015 from the 70,000 sq ft Catalyst building on the IIIT-Hyderabad campus, it supported startups through the full lifecycle via its 6M-2P framework: Money, Methodology, Market Access, Mentorship, Motivation, Manpower, Partnership, and Policy Advisory. Phase 1 nurtured approximately 1,800 startups, facilitated $1.9 billion in cumulative funding, and helped create 25,000 jobs before transitioning to the 5.8 lakh sq ft Phase 2 campus in June 2022. Alumni include unicorns Zenoti and Darwinbox.
